In the last ultrasound I have been diagnosed with fatty liver grade II.
I have been taking a mixture of bhumi amla, amla, south, kutki and haldi for the last two days early in the morning (bf).
Are there any side effects of the same.
Also need to know how to lower liver acid and gas.

âFatty liver grade II needs a structured approach. The combination you are taking (Bhumi Amla, Kutki, Haldi etc.) can support liver function, but taking multiple herbs together on your own may aggravate acidity and gas, especially if digestion is sensitive. There can be side effects like irritation or loose motions in some cases. Focus on diet and digestion correction along with proper medicines. Please consult me so I can guide the right combination and dosage safely.â
Namastey
A diagnosis of Grade I fatty liver (early stage) is mild and reversible with proper lifestyle and digestion correction. The herbal combination you are taking—bhumi amla, amla, saunth (dry ginger), kutki, and haldi—is generally used in Ayurveda for liver support, improving digestion, and reducing inflammation.
However, this mixture is not entirely free from side effects, especially when taken together without personalization. Kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa) is potent and can sometimes cause loose motions or excessive bowel movement. Saunth (dry ginger) and haldi (turmeric) are heating in nature and may increase acidity, burning sensation, or gas in some individuals, particularly if your digestion is already sensitive. Amla is generally safe but can occasionally cause mild gastric discomfort in certain people. So, while the combination is beneficial, it should be used cautiously and tailored to your body type (prakriti) and digestive strength (agni).
Your complaints of “liver acid” and gas are more related to digestive imbalance (Agnimandya and Amla Pitta) rather than the liver itself producing acid.
Next Steps
You should observe your body’s response over the next few days. If you notice loose stools, burning in chest/abdomen, bloating, or discomfort, it would be wise to pause or modify this combination, especially reducing heating herbs like saunth. Avoid self-mixing multiple herbs long-term without supervision, as even beneficial herbs can create imbalance when combined inappropriately.
Focus more on correcting digestion and routine rather than adding too many remedies. Eat on time, avoid overeating, and maintain a gap between dinner and sleep. Health Tips
For fatty liver reversal, the cornerstone is diet and lifestyle. Avoid oily, fried, packaged, and sugary foods. Reduce alcohol completely if applicable. Include light, easily digestible meals—like green vegetables, लौकी (bottle gourd), तुरी, and whole grains. Start your day with warm water, and include gentle activity like walking for 30–40 minutes daily.
For gas and acidity, avoid late-night meals, excessive tea/coffee, spicy food, and long fasting gaps. Eat smaller, frequent meals instead of heavy ones. Simple habits like chewing food properly and avoiding lying down immediately after meals can significantly reduce symptoms.
With consistent routine correction, Grade I fatty liver can improve significantly without complications.
