Hi, does rotating your neck laterally by yourself (without any external force) cause carotid artery dissection? I mean, is it possible? Please make it clear to me.

Not so, since rotation of the neck is built into our anatomy and isn't in any way out of the routine which can injure the carotid artery.
But it is theoretically possible if the carotid is already compromised and even a little disturbance to its position, a pull or shear could result in dissection.
