Neck and Shoulder Pain and Giddiness
Hi all, I am suffering with neck stiffness and frozen shoulders when I wake up in the morning.. I was working since 10 years in IT and recently quit my job due to giddiness and off-balance while walking and sitting and while working in laptop. I keep hot water bag and do neck exercises.. I have been to physiotherapy also for neck stretching.. But yet, I started having this pain and giddiness problem again.. Is this curable? Please suggest me to get a normal life back.. Pain is bearable but this giddiness is making me so down.. I have 3 years old girl.. Mine was normal delivery in 2014.. Problem started since May 2017.. Please help me on my aliment.. Thanks!

Greetings,  sorry about the pain. your pain is completely curable not to worry..  giddiness is related to vitamin B12 insufficiency plus muscle stiffness. Get supplements or shots for vitamin l.
Next Steps
just hire a physio as your trainer and get your posture corrected plus get fit,  this should be your approach.   physio will do trigger point therapy plus posture correct treatment along with other protocol.  in 3 months time you should be fine

Please consult your orthopaedic surgeon for the examination and evaluation of the problem. Most likely chronic bad posture is the cause. Please read my blog on low back ache: all u need to know for queries. Physiotherapy and medications help in most casesn form the first line treatment. Scapular stabilisation Exercise and rotator cuff strengthening exercises along with static neck exercises will surely help.

Basically its a occupation related problem. You have to correct your sitting posture or we can say have to modify your ergonomics. Just do three things first increase the height of your laptop or just adjust the height of your chair so that the upper end of the screen of your laptop or pc comes straight to your eye level so that you dont have raise or tilt your neck. Second is just keep your ears and shoulders in single line. Third do some streching and neck isometric exercises on regular basis. You can see these exercises on you tube also. Hope these things will help you.
