Nebulizer medicine for old age people
My father is an  alzimer patient who struggles day to day routine. He can't express his internal problems. He is having cough from long time . Sometimes we gives nebulizer too. My question is, Which is the good medicine(Liquid) to add to the nebulizer that we can give frequently without any side effects.

Check with your doctor ,what could be the reason for the long standing cough.Try with normal saline solution nebulization, which is helpful.Others including salbutamol, budesonide could be given ,but each have their own side effects.

Duolin, Budamet, All these medicines are safe because they don't get absorbed into the circulation.

You may use Duolin respule for nebulization, also budecort respule can be used...you may video consult for proper advise and treatment.

Cough has many causes . Without proper history it’s not possible to diagnose the cause and hence to treat the cough. Moreover, is cough associated with sputum or is it dry cough?

Montair LC daily for Two weeks Mucinac 600 mg daily for 10 days A to Z daily for 2 weeks Better to consult to know if he needs nebuliser too It can’t b given randomly Has to b given for the required per as a course
