Hi, You might having depression, which needs treatment. In order to reduce the excess sleepiness, treating the root cause(depression)is more important.Alongwith Armodafinil you might be needing antidepressants as well depending on the evaluation by a psychiatrist.

Don't Google it too much. . U will be misguided..armodafinil not always use for narcolepsy, sometimes we also give for overcome from excessive drowsiness due to other medicines

Hello. Your symptoms donot point towards narcolepsy. Narcolepsy will have other features like sleep paralysis and behaviour disorders during sleep. You seem to have mood symptoms that are persisting despite escitalopram.

No that's not narcolepsy,  also modafinil would be not be needed in this case. It's just emotional breakdowns or dysregulation (depressive or personality traits) only. kindly visit for detailed evaluation.
