Hi, if your mother is of post menopausal age, then there are a lot of possibilities related to the condition you described, due to her hormonal imbalance. Like desquamative gingival diseases, phempigus, phempigoid etc. Kindly get her checked by a Oral medicine or an Oral pathologist.

Hello, you can apply baking soda over it or do baking soda in water mouth rinses. This will help to heal your ulcers. If they still persist, you need to consult a physician and get your vitamin B levels checked. If required take supplements for it.

Mouth ulcers are something which reoccur in case of stress and hyper activity. I would suggest to consult an oral surgeon. He can check and give you required medication.
Next Steps
Maintain good oral hygiene. Try to avoid more of spicy and oily food. Need to destress and relax. Water intake should be good enough.
