My dentist stitched my cheek!
I had an appointment yesterday to remove my wisdom tooth and after the dentist pulled the tooth he said he needed to stitch the hole up. A few hours after the numbing wore off I realized he stitched my cheek!! It hurts so bad and I was wondering if this is a normal thing because he didn't believe me when I told him it was stitched to my cheek. I had to show him before he would believe me and he didn't tell me he did it while he was stitching me up. Is this normal??

It is a part of buccal mucosa or what you call the cheek. Sometimes the stitches run around the periphery of the mucosa. It is definitely normal and doesn't matter as the stitches would be out in matter of few days.
Next Steps
Don't worry. its normal.
