After 45 minutes you can drink fluids which are cold or room temperature with glass or cup. Do not use straw. You can eat after the anaeathesia effect has subsided.

You should have no problem drinking water or fresh juice. Just don't use straw to drink juice (Avoid carbonated drinks). You can have semi solid food which is not too spicy or too hot once the anesthetic effect wears off. Follow the instructions given by your oral surgeon.
Health Tips
Don't keep any heat pack on the extracted side for at least 24 hours. Use warm salt water rinse from tomorrow till the suture is removed. Get your suture removal between 7th to 10th day from the day of procedure.

You can drink glucose immediately with the cotton/gauge piece still inside the mouth which your doctor must have asked to bite on for atleast half hour. After 30-45 minutes of the procedure you can remove the gauge piece and have something cold in liquid or semi-solid form, for example ice-cream. Take care not to spit, rinse or gargle for atleast next 24 hours. And consume semi-solid diet at room temperature or cold for atleast next 24 hours. Brushing can be done normally avoiding the extraction site and during brushing spit slowly and preferably use cold water. All the above precautions are for 24-36 hours, depending on the kind of surgery done.
