Tab brahmi vati 1 tab at night
Maharajprasarini oil capsule 1 twice daily
Musli churna 1 tsf twice with milk
Triphala churna 1 tsf at night with 1 glass like warm water
I suggest if symptoms are severe like sucidal thoughts and self harm please consult nearest Good psychiatrist don't rely on ayurvedic treatment alone , ayurvedic medicine might be helpful for mild symptoms like loss of appetite, problem with digestion, etc
Depression cases needs proper evaluation treatment according like psychotherapy and internal antidepressant medications, so don't ignore
The symptoms mainly indicates Bahudosha avastha, which requires shodhana, just oral medicines doesn't help much of it, I suggest him to undergo Panchakarma therapy
For anxiety manasa mitra vati twice a day
Hingwastaka churna with warm water
Triphala churna with butter milk to balance all tri doshas,
Ashwagandha churna with milk while sleeping
This could be some nutritional deficiencies that can be easily corrected with basic herbs and supplements. Do a multi parameter blood test which includes cbc, esr, diabetes panel, liver function test, kidney function test, fasting insulin, vitamin d , b12, and hs crp. Also do a the free HAIP prakriti analysis and Free HAIP Sibo Analysis to rule out any gut infections that can be the reason of ill mental health and book a consult. Follow HAIP DIET based on the anti-inflammatory principles of Ayurveda.

Take shankhpushpi syrup 10 ml in 1 glass of leukwarm milk at night
Brahmi vati 2 tab twice a day
Got it â your brotherâs case is mainly **Vata aggravation** (restlessness, overthinking, excessive mental chatter) with some **Pitta aggravation** (anger, irritability), plus a **sensitive digestion** and tendency to develop cough when taking certain calming medicines.
That means we have to take a **gentle, harmonizing approach** that calms Vata *without* overwhelming digestion or creating excess mucus (Kapha). This is often where people go wrong â many anti-anxiety herbs like Ashwagandha, Shankhpushpi, or Brahmi are heavy and can slow digestion if given without balancing herbs.
---
## **Step 1 â Ayurvedic Medicines & Churnas**
Weâll focus on *lightly warming* and *Vata-calming* remedies that are digestion-friendly and avoid increasing Kapha.
### **Morning (empty stomach)**
* ******Ghrita** â 1 tsp in warm water or warm milk
â Nourishes nerves, calms Vata, and supports mild Pitta balance *without* clogging digestion if taken in small dose.
*(If digestion is very weak, start with ½ tsp.)*
---
### **After breakfast & dinner**
* *************** (Baidyanath or AVP) â 1 tablet
â Balances Vata & Pitta in mind, reduces anxiety, overthinking, and improves sleep.
*(Start with once daily for 4â5 days, then increase to twice daily.)*
---
### **Midday (before lunch)**
* ******** â 10 ml with equal warm water
â Improves mood, memory, and mental stability.
*Mildly warming, so it wonât create cough like Brahmi syrup might.*
---
### **At bedtime**
* ****** Churna** â 1 gram (¼ tsp) in warm water or warm milk
â Strong Vata pacifier, helps deep rest.
*Avoid more than 1 gram if digestion is weak.*
---
## **Step 2 â Supporting Digestion**
Since anxiety medicines can sometimes slow Agni (digestion), we balance them with mild deepanaâpachana herbs:
* **Before meals** â 1 pinch each of **dry ginger powder** + **ajwain** + **rock salt** in warm water.
â Improves digestion without irritating Pitta too much.
---
## **Step 3 â Food & Lifestyle**
* **Warm, lightly spiced meals** â khichdi with a little ghee, vegetable soups, moong dal, upma, soft roti with subji.
* Avoid **cold drinks, raw salads at night, leftover food, excess caffeine**.
* Gentle **abhyanga** (warm sesame oil massage) before bath 2â3Ã per week.
* **Evening routine** â avoid screens 1 hr before sleep; mild music, pranayama (alternate nostril breathing).
---
## **Why cough happens**
When heavy cooling herbs (Brahmi, Mandukaparni, Shankhpushpi) are given to a Vata-Pitta type with low Agni, they slow digestion â undigested ama + Kapha â cough, phlegm.
Thatâs why here we use **slightly warming + light** herbs (*, *) and keep doses small.
---
If you want, I can prepare **two different churna blends** for him â
one for **daytime focus & calm** and another for **night relaxation** â that will be both Vata-pacifying and digestion-friendly. That way you wonât have to juggle too many separate medicines.
Do you want me to make those custom churna formulas for you?
Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine.

Depression, Anxiety, low mood, low motivation, Anger and irritability, continuously mind chatter --- A case of mood disorder and Anxiety disorder....
In ayurveda it can be compared with Unmada that means where all three doshas ie., Vata, Pitta, Kapha moves in opposite direction to the place where mind (Manas) resides and causes Madatva to the Manas.
This condition involves all three doshas. Medications like Bramhi vati, Mahakalyanka Gritha, Saraswathi arista etc., and Panchakarma therapies like Abhyanga, Swedana, Shriodhara, Nasya, Shirobasti will be helpful in such condition.
Please contact near by Ayurvedic Hospital and get proper diagnosis and medications according to ur condition...
