Mucous cyst surgery
Hello! I have a mucous cyst on my lower lip that is painless and has been there for almost 8 months. This is a recurrence of the cyst as I had a cyst at the same location years ago but it went away with time (I did not go for any treatment during that time following the doctor's advice). However, this time around it has persisted and it's bothering me now. So, I'm considering getting it removed. I wanted to know how complex the surgery is and how long it takes to recover after the surgery, as I have to travel soon. Many thanks for your replies!

Hi ,     From the symptoms you have narrated,I think it's a cyst that commonly arises from minor salivary glands of lower lip(mucocoele). It's quite common. Treatment involves a minor surgical procedure to remove the cyst. It will be done under local anesthesia. So it is a painless procedure and you will recover very fast. So don't worry.
Next Steps
Visit a nearby dental surgeon and get treated. Best regards
