Mucocele on lower lip
From last 2 weeks i have small reoccurring bump on my lower lip,no pain,no blood, rupture automatically or by sudden bite, light burning sensation when erupting. it keep erupting for 2 days then get clear for another 2 days after ruptured and then again start erupting on 5th day, this happening from last 2 weeks. i went to a oral surgeon last week and he said its a mucocele and have to remove surgically but from last 4 days there is no eruption,no lesion,no burning,no bump, totally healed. now i am confused does it still need to remove surgically?

If it is healed for the time being, it does not need intervention for now.

Hi hope you are doing well Well mucocele generally heal by itself. We go for surgical removal only if it creates a problem or discomfort and now your mucocele has been healed then you don't need any removal surgery.
Next Steps
if it appears on the same area again then consult with Oral Maxillofacial surgeon
