Firstly, let me tell you that scrubs are meant to be used occasionally to get rid of dead cells. Using frequently will remove healthy tissue cells as well. Using salt, causes instantly softness, but repeated use leads to dehydration of lips. Apply water based emoline creams on lips as many times in a day n protect from dirt n dust. You should get back normal loops within one week

There is a possibility that you did hurt yourself while scrubbing your lips. You must have stopped it by now and you need to apply topical analgesic anti inflammatory gel after ruling out any other possibilities.

You should avoid these random home remedies which have unpredictable results and can cause more harm than good. First we will advise you a conservative approach. Use a good quality moisturizer or a cold cream on the lips and alternate that after a few hours with a lip balm containing petroleum jelly. Moisturiser will add moisture to the dry lips and lip balm with petroleum jelly will help to retain that moisture. Use your soft bristled toothbrush to gently Scrub your lips after brushing. If your problem does not subside in 5 to 6 days then you should definitely visit a dentist for a proper clinical evaluation so that the secondary causes of your problem can be evaluated and the right treatment options can be delineated for you. Regards.
