Hello... generally it takes 3-4 weeks to complete healing of extracted site...ND usually pain subsides in 1 week time only.. if you still have pain, consult doctor again..it might be due to infection at extracted site aur dry socket.

Visit your dentist to find out the cause of the pain and get it treated. It could be due to slow healing, infection due to food lodgement ,dry socket, missed root tip discomfort associated with wound healing. The bone at the extraction site takes up to 4 weeks to heal.so just consult your dentist for further management of pain. Best regards.

No it's not ok as it may be due to a remaining root piece (if left by mistake) or may sometimes due to site of injection (being painful)
Next Steps

Hello, It takes time for healing of the gums and bones around the extracted tooth.
Next Steps
Warm saline gargles 3-4 times daily would help in easing the swelling and tenderness around the extracted tooth. Soft diet for a few more days would help.
