Mouth not open properly
My father's cancer treatment should completed.now 2 2...1/2 years after his mouth not open properly so want to take treatment for open mouth properly so suggest me a very good doctor for treatment will complete successfully . Note. -:But he doesn't have saliva in mouth... Due to radiation

Its side effect of radiation , u need to give it time , use saliva substitute, increase vegetables in diet , eat more of tomatoes, consult oral pathologist .

It is radiation induced fibrosis which leads to limited mouth opening. Also because of radiation therapy salivary glands as well gets affected leading to decreased salivation. You have a saliva substitute like saliva sure which will keep the mouth moist and prevent tooth decay.

Hello, you need to take him to a good Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon.Radiation does affect the salivary production and fibrosis reduces the mouth opening.Saliva substitutes like GC Dry Mouth Gel acts as a good salivary substitute. Regards Dr Sumanmakam
