These are auditory hallucinations which are seen in psychotic illnesses like schizophrenia, which happens due to neurotransmitter dysregulation in the mind pathways in brain. Consult a psychiatrist and get treated. Good luck.
Hello,
It looks your mother is experiencing hallucinations.
64 years is not too old.
Already many years have gone waste by not getting her proper treatment.
Next Steps
So I suggest you to consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. She needs proper assessment first as she has never been shown to a doctor for these complaints.
After that she has to be started on the necessary medication. Nothing to worry about the medication.
Health Tips
Her comorbidities (like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, any allergies or any other medication she is on currently have to be told the psychiatrist you consult)
