I am missing lateral incissors and orthodontist says that my upper 1st premolars are deciduos too.So i have two options available,he says.
1st: Canine substitution.Canines would work as lateral incissors ,first premolars would be extracted and 2nd premolars would be shifted in front to work as canines.
2nd: Dental implants.first premolars would be extracted, canines would be shifted back to create gap for dental implants that would work as lateral incissors.
I am confused between these two treatments.I dont know which one would look more esthetic. If second premolars work as canines than wouldn't it look wierd. Can anyone suggest me whom to consult for treatment guide.
Also my canines are not that big.I am 21 years old.
