Thank you for reaching out. At 13 years old, it’s quite common to have irregular or missed periods, especially in the first 1–2 years after menarche (the first period). The body is still adjusting to hormonal changes, so cycles may not be regular initially. However, there are a few reasons why a period may be delayed or missed: Stress or emotional changes Sudden weight loss or gain Illness or excessive physical activity Nutritional deficiencies Hormonal imbalances (like thyroid issues or PCOS)
Next Steps
Ensure you’re eating healthy, getting enough rest, and managing stress. • Track your menstrual cycle (dates, flow, symptoms). • If you’ve missed more than 2–3 periods in a row or if you have other symptoms like severe acne, hair growth on the face, or sudden weight changes, it’s best to visit a gynecologist for evaluation. You’re not alone — and help is available. Feel free to share more details so I can guide you better. Take care!
