A small swelling after a blood test is usually due to a bruise or mild reaction around the vein and sometimes nearby lymph nodes can feel slightly enlarged. It is not usually concerning if it is painless and gradually reduces in a few days, but if it keeps growing or becomes painful, then it should be reviewed.
