Don't worry...you are suffering from seborrheic dermatitis causing dandruff... Specific medicine available for good control... Treatment depends on the severity..Do direct online consultation for detailed prescription by sending photos.
For mild dandruff and dry hair, it's often effective to start with an over the counter dandruff shampoo such as Nizoral A-D which contains ketoconazole, or any other anti dandruff shampoo with selenium sulfide, coal tar extract, pyrithione zinc.
Shampoo has to be used 2 to 3 times a week initially. And when the dandruff improves you can reduce the frequency. Leave the shampoo on the scalp for atleast 5 minutes before rinsing.
Moisturizing conditioner has to be used as the anti dandruff shampoo tends to make the hair dry.
If the OTC shampoos don't improve your condition after a few weeks, you might need a prescription - strength shampoo or treatment.
If you experience severe itching, redness or scaling, it's best to visit the doctor or consult the doctor online.
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
