Middle and lower back pain
I have had middle and lower back pain since almost a year(majorly in the middle). I have been doing physiotherapy for 5 days now and there is no relief. The doctor has asked me not to bend forward at all which is increasing my pain. Is bending forward really a big no in my condition?

Back Pain is not very limited to back area, considering your case is there any provocative factor/activities, what are you reliving factors, some more detail history of pain,it's nature, type, history of weight loss, etc with some special test will let us know whether you back is of back origin or refered /radiating pain. Once coming to conclusion we can then comment on whether forward bending to be avoided & for how long if required. Currently I think (5days session -  might be too easy to judge) continue with sessions after detail examination is done (which your physio must have done considering it).
Next Steps
some investigation, test and proper regular therapy sessions (including patient education, postural advices, exercisea etc) will help your way best & answer all ur concerns.

Hey there! I can see tuberculosis as a diagnosed condition mentioned. Be it that tuberculosis has travelled to spine, one should get assessed with mri for both confirmation and level till which it has manifested. Get thoroughly checked by an orthopaedician. If it's Potts spine at an early stage, might get managed. Severe case needs surgery.
Next Steps
get blood tests done and MRI done. Visit a ortho.
Health Tips
do not worry and do not delay.

You need something called a Mckenzie assessment for spine and its exercises.
Next Steps
Get an assessment done by a Mckenzie certified therapist. Or visit my clinic
Health Tips
Be extra cautious if the symptoms are peripheralising (travelling further away from your spine towards your limbs)

Yes, you should avoid bending of the spine, you need to maintain proper posture, apply diclofenac ointment and after 10mins clean it with warm water following hot pack. Do proper exercises if adviced by your physio, maintain proper posture while sitting for prolonged time and take a break every 25-30mins.

5 days of treatment looks sufficient now. Bending may increase the pain temporarily in few cases but the long term goals may involve all movements to be started again. Follow the exercises that your physio may have prescribed you.
