My son is 2 years old.
Is meningococcal vaccine is mandatory for kids?
Our pediatrician suggested to take after completion of 2 years. We live in Hyderabad.

Meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine..we do give from the age of 9 months itself..As is with other vaccines this also prevents the disease and decreases its severity..It's efficacious in prevention upto 75 % of the Bacterial Meningitis..
Next Steps
It is better to give even an optional vaccine if affordable to prevent the disease severity and complications..
