Meningococcal vaccine for baby
I had my baby vaccination done for 9th month which includes MMR1 and opv.. but a while taking 7 month vaccine doctor in my hometown Bihar added that meningococcal to be taken during 9th month.. I am in banglore now and yesterday when I went for vaccination doctor said that is optional and would not recommend to take it.. so confusion here that whether it should be mandatory or we can leave it..

It's an optional vaccine. But I'd recommend that you take it considering the situation that you travel frequently to Bihar.

It is your choice, in Bihar, UP meningococcal vaccination is required. So if is your home town or you visit regularly then I suggest to take it. Otherwise it is optional
