Painless vaccine does not mean that the injection prick will not hurt... It means that the pain after the vaccination which is normally there for 48hrs after DPT vaccine is given, is comparatively less. Some babies don't even experience pain after giving painful DPT vaccine.

No doubt Hexaxim (DPaT)is a Painless vaccine because it will not cause pain following the vaccination compare to painful vaccine (DPT) which causes pain and fever for 2 days following vaccination. But while giving injection there is little pain due to the pain created by prick of the needle, which can also be minimised by using good quality needle and good technique of giving injections by your Pediatrician.
Pertussis (Whooping cough) severe lasting cough with breathing difficulty it can be prevented with DTwP (Whole cell) or DTaP (Acellular) injections vaccination, Most parents think DTaP as "Painless" injections in India. They are "Not painless" but as there are fewer side effects with DTaP they are erroneously called painless injections. But most of studies tell DTwP(Whole cell) with lesser price gives better protection for Pertussis cough. "Pain" is for 2 days but "Protection" is for life long. Can give Paracetamol after the vaccination for 2 days to take care of the pain.
