MCL doesn’t need surgery but quads tear needs examination. Consult orthopaedic dr near you. Treatment varies from rest with splint to moving the leg and exercises. Use ice fomentation now and rest

May we know brief history of what has happened and the duration of the problem.. It helps in suggesting the treatment.. According to the MRI there has been pull out which has lead to the wearout and inflammation at the site of pull.. this usually occurs in history of injury.. You may need rest based on the duration and then certain Physiotherapy exercises to be started.. If there is pain you can apply ice/hot packs Local application of OINTMENT.. Knee cap with supporting flexible hinges may be of more beneficial to you..
Health Tips
use pillow under the knee while sleeping avoid stairs and sitting cross legged
