PCL avulsion injury
My bike skid one week before and I was not able to bend my knees Dr. suggested to do Xray, CT scan and MRI. The report says : Minimally displaced avulsion fracture of posterior tibial intercondylar. eminence at Posterior cruciate ligament insertion with edema /contusion along posterior cruciate ligament. Interstitial edema along Anterior cruciate ligament with no evidence of discontinuity seen. Small peripheral horizontal tear noted along peripheral aspect of body of lateral miniscus Grade 1 injury along Medial and lateral collateral ligaments with mild adjacent edema Bony contusions along tibial plateau. Dr had given knee imboliser to wear and asked not to put weight on it. Kindly go through the reports and suggest us whether fracture of this kind will heal on its on or surgery is required. If it will heal on its own will there be any problem in future? Kindly provide your suggestions.
