Mathan Tailam is a herbomineral Siddha formulation prescribed widely for several conditions such as eczema, weeping eczema, itches, wounds, chronic ulcers, bed sores, anal fistula, ear infections, carbuncle ulcer of diabetes, per anal abscess, non-healing of external ulcers, folliculitis, alopecia and burn wound etc. Thaila (Thailam), or sesame oil medicated with herbal mixes, is an extremely useful category of Ayurvedic medicine. Its potency can be increased during preparation through the addition of specific ingredients. To be applied directly at the site of infection or applied over a cloth and then used. There is no recorded side effects with this medicine but it is for external use only.
