I've been in depression past 1 year approx. There are much things I need to get cleared up in mind by counselling, but my doctor stays in Shivmogga (Karnataka) while am in Delhi for academics. Could I change the doctor who has known my personality and treating me ?? Or could I just get a counselling done from other psychiatrist in Delhi.

Talk to experienced psychiatrist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
Hello dear,
You should definitely consult with a psychiatrist in Delhi. He/she will decide in consultation with you the requirements of your mental state as of now. Psychotherapy and any modification of medication can be considered after talking to you. A communication may be established with your psychiatrist in Shivmogga to maintain continuity in treatment plan.
However it works not be advisable to continue medication without supervision.
Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future.
