Got ur pain n concern though it's unfortunate but common in aging and triggered by winter. It's great u had evaluated her status with her dr though her status of lungs has been shared u n hope given way to care too. Like as Air purifier or mask to use Respiratory infection is matter of urgent attention because it may escalates risk to infect people around her. Ayurved offers amazing outcome immediately clinically with fumes(of Haldi n Ajwayan) n medications. If u choose to grab advantages like non-recurrence and better (persistant) on PFT n spirometer by detox Panchakarma therapies n Rasayan therapy. Plz consult ayurved college hospital in ur city
Health Tips
Application of camper / Rock salt mixed Til oil  on chest twice a day prior bath n sleep and fumes (of already said ) twice a day.
