Lump in my mouth
There was a big lump in my mouth that was on my gum just under my tooth. It was very large and I thought that i would have to see a doctor but now after I've woken up the next day, the lump has disappeared and it has left some loose skin in its place. Do you know what that could have been?

Hi sir...   The lump may be due to infection from the teeth which causes lump periapically... or infection that spread from the gums laterally and cause lump in lateral periodontium(supporting tissue of tooth ) If the lump is seen periapically(around the tooth root), then x_ ray (IOPA) of the adjacent teeth should be done to rule out infection...If infection is there ,then Root canal treatment is the only option Lateral lump (lateral gingival abscess) is due to food stuck in the gums, rough tooth brushing...For this you need to do scaling(cleaning) done....and antibiotic mouthwash should be used..

It could have been an infection from the adjacent tooth, or a blister. Do visit a dentist for a proper diagnosis. It will help us to give a clearer opinion if you could post a pic.
