I have back pain issue..in lumbar region.. I was asked to avoid weight training, running, jumping or squats etc as it puts impact on lower back.
Have started swimming for core strengthening n weight loss n other core exercises that has helped a lot. But now in this lock down period unable to find a way to workout to loose weight as we can't go out.
Can i do surya namaskars at home? Will they help ease lower back pain and stay fit??

You can do back strengthening exercises mainly Bridging will help you. You can go through my health feed regarding back pain and exercises. You do this along with other exercises. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration because dehydrated disc is more prone to injury
Do lumbar stretches as comfort allows.
No lifting of heavy weight - let your back be upright as far as possible.
Hold the object closer to your body if you have to carry anything... Let it not be too heavy in weight.
