Lower back pain
I have lower back pain since last 6 months. There is not problem in day to day activities, but I am not able to sit especially on tight surface and not able to loft heavy items

Pls visit the nearby clinic or check for home visits .It needs proper assessment and post assessment according to the diagnosis the exercises will be prescribed also modalities will be used for the pain relief.

There are many reasons for back pain, as you mentioned its not constant but when only you sit on hard/tight surface it gives you pain which means you core lumbar muscles need stretching and strengthening. This can be done at home with lower back strengthening exercises, Try avoid bending the spine to lift objects diretly from the floor, sit take the items and stand to avoid pains jerks. Visit nearby physiotherapy clinic once for proper physical assessment and suggestion on exercises to be done.
