Based on your description, your lower back pain may be caused by prolonged sitting and travelling, as well as sudden movements like sneezing or bending down. It is essential to take some steps to manage the pain and prevent it from getting worse. Here are some possible causes and treatments for your lower back pain: Poor posture: Sitting for prolonged periods can cause poor posture, which can strain the muscles and ligaments in the lower back. Make sure to sit with your back straight, shoulders relaxed, and feet flat on the floor. Consider getting an ergonomic chair or cushion to support your back. Muscle strain: This can happen when you overuse or stretch your muscles, or lift heavy objects improperly. Rest, ice, and over-the-counter pain relievers can help alleviate the pain. You may also benefit from physical therapy to strengthen your back muscles and improve flexibility. Disc problems: A herniated or bulging disc in the lower back can put pressure on the nerves and cause pain. Treatment may include rest, physical therapy, pain relievers, and in severe cases, surgery. Spinal stenosis: This is a narrowing of the spinal canal that can cause nerve compression and pain. Treatment may include medication, physical therapy, and in severe cases, surgery. To manage your lower back pain, try to incorporate the following into your daily routine: Take frequent breaks from sitting to stretch and move around Use ice or heat therapy to alleviate pain Practice good posture while sitting and standing Consider using a lumbar support pillow or cushion Engage in low-impact exercises, such as walking or swimming, to strengthen your back muscles If your pain persists or worsens, it is important to seek medical attention for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
