It is not absolutely compulsory to get a surgery. Most of the times, posture correction and giving up wrong ways of sitting can relieve a LOT of backpain. Try the following: *Apply hot water bag (10 minutes twice a day) *After applying hot water bag, apply Nobel Gel *Tab Flexon (1 tablet after lunch and 1 tablet after dinner for 7 days) (if you are not allergic to it) *Tab Pantakind (40mg) (1 tablet before breakfast in the morning for 7 days) *Tab Gabaneuron (300mg) (1 tablet at 7pm for 10 days) (if your pain is spreading from the centre to any one or both sides) *Lie down on the back, fold both your knees, place both your palms on the sides of your waist on the bed and lift your hips up. Do 5 such counts. Gradually keep increasing the counts until you reach 30-40 counts. *Lie down on your stomach, keep both your palms beside your shoulders on the bed and then push your upper body off the bed (Bhujangasana). Start with 5 counts and increase until you reach 30-40 counts. (These two exercises are the most important part of your treatment...not tablets! Do NOT do any other back exercise!) *Avoid sitting in one place for more than 15 minutes at a stretch. After 15 minutes, get up for 1 minute and then sit again. This is EXTREMELY important to reduce your backpain!! *Whenever you sit on a stool or a chair, make sure you sit ahead on the edge of the chair. Don't go behind to take back support. This will help you sit straight. *Avoid sitting on soft sofas. Sit on hard stools/chairs as much as possible. *Avoid riding bike/car as much as you can. *While bending forward, make sure to bend your knees. Don't bend forward with your knees straight!
Next Steps
Try the above steps and do let me know after one week if your pain has reduced.

I will go with the advice of neurosurgeon if you have been suffering from back problem for more than 6 months. It’s becoming chronic and also causing you to make adjustments in your lifestyle. Decision is yours always but going back after surgery painless is something you cannot imagine now. Can consult if u like. Thanks

If you are facing so much problem, why are you not opting for surgery.. I think it is worth going for surgery rather than waiting for the problem to recover by medicines.. The ligaments weakness and lysis won't heal by itself.
Next Steps
You will be much relieved if you plan for undergoing surgery.. It is usually a safe procedure. nothing much to be worried about.. If you opt for non surgical intervention,  there may be temporary relief by medicines like analgesic,  muscle relaxants,  calcium and vitamin d supplements,  physiotherapy, etc. But still considering your age, it would be definitely better to go for surgery.
Health Tips
Avoid heavy work,  avoid sitting down,  avoid Indian toilet,  avoid forward bending,  avoid stair climbing and descending..
