What youâre describing sounds more like an early muscle strain or nerve irritation from posture/load at the gym, rather than a serious nerve compression. Tingling and stiffness without significant pain or weakness are common when the lower back muscles are tight or fatigued. This usually settles with temporary rest from heavy lifting, avoiding bending/twisting, and correcting posture. There is no need to panic at this stage. If symptoms worsen, start radiating down the leg with pain, numbness, or weakness, or donât improve in 7â10 days, then a clinical evaluation would be advised.
