Low lying placenta
I am 20 weeks pregnant and had my anomaly scan today. Report says lower end of placenta is covering internal os in posterior wall of uterus. It was also in nt scan earlier. Is there any chance of placenta moving upwards? Should i have bed rest?

Yes generally placenta moves up by 22 to 24 weeks
U don't need bedrest but avoid anything that gives a pelvic jerk like sex n traveling

It was not reported in the previous scan because the Sonoligist did not want to give a clinically useless information as a report during the previous scan.
In any case it would have been an irrelevant finding.
If you have any bleeding then you are justified in asking this question. Otherwise you should forget it.

upto 26weeks the placenta going. upwards til then take precautions
