I am 12 week and 2 days pregnant . Placenta is along posterior wall low lying. Cervical canal length is 2.83 cm . Is there any risk in low lying placenta ? What are the precaution ? What is the range of normal cervical length at this stage ?

The placenta tends to migrate as the uterus grows and at the 20week scan it would be much away from the lower segment in most cases. For now have PELVIC rest. Hope you are on progesterone supplements . Your cervical length is normal at 2.8cm . Follow up is required to rule out shortening of the cervix which might require intervention.
Don't worry and rest, progesterone support and anomaly scan at 19weeks.. See for length of cervix and placenta... If length less than 2.5cm..you might require circlage or cervical stitch.... Best decision will be take after internal examination and sonography at 18week.. Till then have a rest
