Hello, I have a 20 days old son who is exclusively breastfed. I am having less breastmilk supply especially in the night time. The baby nurses for 40-50 mins in each feeding session at night but is still hungry and not able to sleep. Please suggest some medicine or supplement to increase breastmilk supply in night time.

Congratulations on attaining motherhood ! It is your privilege to breast feed your baby & do it with confidence . Complete emptying of breast automatically refills the milk . You should continue to take balanced food and fluids to keep milk formation going on . No need to nurse baby fir 50 minutes . Nutrition can be fulfilled in 5 minutes on each breast . After that you can just keep the baby tugged into you this is for sense of security . No extra effort is needed except confidence , proper positioning and complete emptying .
