3 months old baby boy weight is only 4.8
My 3 month old baby boy with a birth weight of 2.7 kg and exclusively breastfed is only 4.8 kgs currently. As per his doctor he has hardly gained enough weight. While pumping my breastmilk output is only 20-30 ml per session. Is it because of less milk output he is not gaining enough weight? should I switch him to formula like lactogen?

As per the weight gain , it’s approximately 700 g a month which is okay .. weight can be better .. ideally a baby is suppose to double the birth weight at 5 months.. milk output is always better when the baby is latched to the breast rather than when milk is pumped. So continue direct breastfeeding and monitor urine output and recheck the weight in 7-10 days.
Next Steps
Recheck weight after 7-10 days and always consult the nearby pediatrician if in doubt
Health Tips
Urine output to be more than 6 times in 24 hrs, active baby
