Losing interest in life
I have no family (except mother), no siblings, no friends. My work life is a mess and have multiple health issues (including 2 surgeries). I have tried meditation, yoga, counselling therapy 30+ sessions and have had medicines by 3 different psychiatrists at different times. I feel lonely 24/7 and everyday is a struggle to live. I got a pay cut at work and relations with my mother are terrible. My father passed away in late 90s. Everytime i try to call someone to talk they disconnect (including helplines). My depression treatment has costed me over a lakh with no results. I was inappropriately touched by a stranger recently. My mother tried to leave the house if I tried to marry someone I liked. I don't have any interest in life whatsoever and always feel like sleeping and not waking up. I don't know what to do.

Long term therapy can be a way forward. I understand you have tried it already and it has been proven less effective in your case. Sometimes, a counsellor and client are not able to strike the kind of therapeutic relationship necessary for a client to go forward in their healing journey. Also, there are various kinds of therapies that can be looked into as not all therapy styles and techniques are suitable for all clients, so some effort may be required initially in developing that understanding. Kindly book a session to take this conversation forward. Please have faith that solutions are available and healing is possible.
