Liver problem
My father is suffering from ascites due to which there water retention in stomach. This is due to liver not functioning
Hence wanted to know which specialist to be consulted as i have to do video consultation as he is admited in Ranchi Medanta and not yet getting correctly treated since last 2 days.
Is it also suggested to remove the fluid or medicine is the cure. So that we can consult right specialist.

Depending on the cause of ascites and the amount,removal if fluid is determined.mild ascites can be medically treated wirh low salt diet and diuretics.
