Linea alba
So I have been noticing Linea alba in my mouth not very prominent but yes it's there for 2-3 months now. Also due to a major cavity in my right second molar teeth the Linea alba is little big in cheek area which touches the same. I'm general sceptical about health and have a history of smoking for 2 years which I have reduced now and hence asking. I did check offline dentist some time back and she did physical examination and said it's due to the teeth touching the cheek and it's normal but still if I can fix it somehow? Also she has recommended some treatment for the cavity which I will do in few weeks. Please help info on Linea alba and if it's serious and how to fix it. Thank you dear doctor you are the best:)

Dear patient, linea alba is a normal condition caused by the friction of soft tissues of the oral cavity with teeth. It is generally caused due to an existing sharp tooth. You can get an enameloplasty , that is smoothening of sharp edges of tooth. And it should reduce on its own.
Next Steps
maintain good oral hygiene.
Health Tips

Linea alba is common due to teeth touching your cheeks. There is no need to worry. In case if you have pain on the cheek with ulceration, that can be due to trauma caused by your teeth on your cheek. In that case you need to visit your nearby dentist.
