White lines or patches are almost always due to some form of irritation including infection:
Infection: eg fungal
Trauma and friction: eg poorly fitting dentures, cheek biting, sharp teeth or fillings
Chemical irritation: eg aspirin burns, smoking

As described above, there are many causes of white patches. You are advised: Stop (or greatly reduce) smoking; Or will offer you the following treatment to help it heal up (or prevent it forming): Smoothing sharp edges on teeth ; Remaking or relining dentures; Eradicating infection (such as fungal infections)

Hello.......The linea alba is usually present bilaterally....Linea Alba is benign, and presents itself as a white line running along the inside of the cheek where the upper and lower teeth meet.stop certain habits, such as biting your cheeks or being overly aggressive in your oral hygiene..
