Levokast for cough
My mother 54 years old has cough for almost three months..however doctor has prescribed levokast and advised for CBC and Tc DC ESR and HB. Reports come normal. Now he advised to take levokast for one month. How many days the medicine takes to start working? From when the medicine reduces cough?

Levokast is for allergic disorders. If your mother has had cough for 3 months, my advise is that you should get tested for TB. 1. Sputum for AFB 2. Digital X-ray Chest-PA view

Cough can be due to various reasons. If symptomatic medication are not making much relief You have to follow the proper process of various Investigation for getting in depth of it!
