The cause of increase in lesion may have been the sharp portion of tooth which has been grinded..The healing will be seen after 2-3 weeks if you follow the prescription given by the dentist avoiding sharp, hot or spicy food..Quit the habits like smoking or drinking as they may aggravate the situation.

It will take time. Now that the cause is removed ( trimmed) it will start healing. Wait for 1 month. If it still persists ....consult your dentist again. Quit habits if you have any. Habits like smoking alcohol or tobacco will delay healing. Your habit quiting will also subside leukoplakia

Healing on tongue often takes 3 weeks as it is constantly moving. Try to keep it under observation. If it doesn't heal within a week get a second consult
