Meet an orthopaedic doctor and try to localize what and where pathology is and the diagnosis. Vague history online this way will mislead you and no doctor can advice on these lines and it is not safe as well. So take time off and please meet an orthopaedic doctor who will advice you further. At the end of the day your wife should get proper treatment and get well. That is all we doctors wish that the patient recovers well.

Pain mostly in feet area can be one tendonitis and second can be bursal inflammation. Will need to be clinically examined to see what kind of swelling it is and then start on treatment accordingly

Unilateral leg swellings should be thoroughly examined and the cause for it should be ruled out as soon as possible.
Next Steps
See an orthopaedic surgeon for clinical examination and further treatment.
