Leg fracture healing
Good day doctors I had a non displaced, non comminuted tibia fracture and have been wearing a leg cast for 7 weeks now. During my last visit to my doctor, he told me to try and stand on my injured leg and raise my good leg without someone holding me but I am scared I might fall or snap the leg again. How do I do this? How do I overcome the fear? Is it proper or I should wait till the cast is off. ( He told me the cast will be removed at week 8)

Hello The postop protocol depends upon the xray picture of your fracture. Kindly share the images. Also your consulting doctor is seeing your leg and the xrays since the day one. Hence, I would suggest please follow whatever he is advising. To practise what you are facing difficulty with, kindly take the help of the physio.
