The combination of left-sided abdominal pain, gas, burping, fever at 101°F with body aches, and now watery diarrhea over 3 days is most consistent with acute infectious gastroenteritis or infectious colitis — likely a bacterial gut infection. The fever and body aches suggest the body is actively fighting an infection, and the watery diarrhea with left lower abdominal pain indicates the large intestine (colon) is involved. This needs proper evaluation and treatment — it is beyond the stage where simple home remedies will suffice.
Next Steps
See a doctor today for a physical examination and blood tests (CBC, CRP, stool routine and culture). In the meantime: drink plenty of ORS (oral rehydration solution) or coconut water to prevent dehydration — this is the most important thing right now. Eat light foods like rice, curd, banana, or toast. Avoid dairy, spicy food, and oily food entirely. Do not take antibiotics on your own without a stool culture. If you develop very severe pain, blood in stools, or cannot keep any fluids down, go to an emergency room immediately. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
