Left shoulder Clavicle fracture
Hi, I have visited a few ortho docs and the opinions offered are varying ..few docs suggested to go immediately for a surgery and not wait further to do the plating for fixing the dislocated clavicle...while others say clavicle sleeve with shoulder brace and arm sling should be used for 6 weeks and can monitor the progress.. Kindly suggest the pros and cons for each. Thanks in advance

If you are doing a desk job. Then go for non-surgical treatment for 4-6 weeks or till you get rid of the major pain. They do heal 99% if you are healthy, non-smoker and non-alcoholic... If you want an early return to work or game..then go for surgeries.. one to put a plate and the other to remove it ..with the risk of anaesthesia, surgery and possible infection.
