Left Back pain
Hello doctor, My father is 59 years old. He has back pain at left side through line of below left leg. He had this problem 2 months ago and did physiotherapy. But again he had some pain. Do we need any extra care or any suggestions that will help in future? Thank you.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate your  father in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Keep no  pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. --. Fomentation with warm water. He is having sciatic pain which is because of age related disc problem. He requires complete evaluation including xrays and mri. He should not bend forwards and should avoid lifting heavy weight. Till u get these done u can give hot water packs to the back and apply Diclofenac gel.
