Six monthly Cycloplegic Refraction, regular Spectacles use and daily patching as advised by your Ophthalmologist will help a lot. The age is the plus point as the vision improvement possibility is still there. So kindly follow everything mentioned above and strictly follow patching and continue. The results won't be evident early in few months of patching but in long-term there is possibility of attaining normal vision. So will have to show some patience and compliance.
